Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

This policy covers standardmachine.us and the two forms on it. Standard Machine & Manufacturing is a CNC machine shop at 104 Industrial Drive, Greenville, Kentucky. We sell to companies rather than to the public, so nearly everything described here is business contact information and the technical files a buyer sends us in order to get a quote.

It is written to be read rather than to be survived. If something here is not clear, call and ask.

What we collect

Three kinds of information, and the first one is the one that matters.

What you type into a form. There are two, and they ask for different things.

FormWhat it asks forContact, at /contactName, company, email address, phone number, and your question. One optional checkbox to hear from us by email.Start Your RFQ, at /start-your-rfqThe same contact details plus your role and company website; the part name or number, alloy, quantity, whether it repeats, and how you found us; length, width, height and units; tightest tolerance; whether the part is export controlled; the finish and color you want; the documentation you need, such as a CMTR, a certificate of conformance, a first article or a PPAP; your need date and how firm it is. One optional checkbox to hear from us by email.

Files you send with an RFQ. Four upload boxes, ten megabytes per file: a 2D drawing, a 3D model, photographs, and anything else that helps. These get their own section below, because they are the part a generic privacy policy gets wrong.

What the site records on its own. Your IP address, the browser and device you are using, the page that sent you here, the pages you opened, and when. This is ordinary web traffic data and we use it in aggregate.

We do not ask for, and you should not send, Social Security or government identification numbers, bank or card numbers, health information, or anything about your race, religion, politics, union membership or sexual orientation. None of it has anything to do with machining a part.

How we use it

To quote your job. To answer your question. To make and ship the part, and to produce the paperwork that goes in the box with it. To keep the job records our quality system requires. To send you email, if and only if you checked the box asking for it. And to see which pages on this site people actually read, so we can write better ones.

That is the whole list. We do not build profiles, we do not score you, and nothing on this site makes an automated decision about you.

Files you send us

Your drawings are yours. We do not publish them, show them to another customer, or put them in marketing without asking you in writing first. Machinists and quoting staff here see them because they have to; nobody else does.

Where they sit: an RFQ arrives in our forms account at Cognito Forms and a copy is emailed to our sales inbox. The forms account is hosted on Microsoft Azure and the entries and files in it are encrypted at rest. We keep the ones attached to a live quote or a running job and we delete the rest on request.

Export controlled data does not go through this form. Standard is ITAR registered and a good deal of what we machine sits under ITAR or the EAR. A public web form is not the route for a controlled drawing. Call 270.820.7009 before you upload anything of that kind and we will set up a route that fits. The form says the same thing at the point where you would otherwise click Upload.

If you want a file removed, email us and say which one. It goes.

Cookies and analytics

Three groups, and none of them follow you off this site.

  • Cookies the site needs to work. Set by Duda, the platform this site is built on. They keep pages loading and remember a few basics about your session.
  • Cookies that count visits. Duda's own site statistics and Google Analytics 4. They tell us how many people read a page, not who those people are.
  • Cookies the form sets. Cognito Forms sets its own while you are filling in a form, so a half-finished entry survives a page reload.

There is no advertising pixel on this site. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no retargeting. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it.

Your browser can block or delete cookies, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to sell or share your information, which is a request we were already honoring.

Who we share it with

We have never sold personal information and we do not share it for advertising. Not to data brokers, not to lead vendors, not to anyone.

The companies that handle data on our behalf are the ones that run the site and the forms: Duda hosts the website, Cognito Forms runs the two forms and stores what you submit, Google provides Analytics, Search Console and our business listing, and our email provider carries the notification. Each of them works under its own terms and none of them may use your information for their own purposes.

Beyond that, information leaves here in only three situations. When a job needs an outside process and the part has to go to a supplier, which is a normal part of manufacturing and is usually visible on your purchase order. When a law, a subpoena or a government agency requires it. And if the company is ever sold or merged, in which case the buyer inherits this policy along with everything else.

How long we keep it

Records tied to a job we quoted or ran are kept as long as the program and its purchase orders require, which in aerospace and defense work is usually measured in years rather than months. That is the same retention our quality records run on.

An inquiry that never becomes a job sits in the forms account until we clear it out or you ask us to. Ask and we will. Site analytics are aggregated and are held on Google's retention schedule. If you are on the email list, you are on it until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it is wrong.
  • Delete it.
  • Send you a copy of what you gave us.
  • Stop emailing you.

Email sales@standardmachine.us with Privacy request in the subject line, or write to the address at the bottom of this page. Say what you want and give us enough to find you, which is usually the email address or the company name the inquiry came in under. We will answer within forty five days, and if we need longer we will say so before that runs out rather than after.

If we turn a request down, reply and tell us why you disagree. A different person here will look at it and answer within sixty days with the reasoning in writing. If you are still unhappy, your state attorney general takes complaints about this.

We will not treat you differently, quote you differently, or stop working with you because you exercised any of this.

Several states now give residents these rights by statute, Kentucky and Texas and California among them, and most of those laws set size thresholds a shop like ours does not reach. We handle the requests the same way regardless of where you live and whether a statute obliges us. It is simpler, and it is the answer we would want.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form entries and uploaded files are encrypted where they are stored. Access here is limited to the people who quote and run jobs.

No web form is the right place for something truly sensitive, ours included. That is the reason for the export control paragraph above, and it applies to anything else you would not put in an ordinary email.

Children

This site is for people buying machined parts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen. If you think we have, email us and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

The date at the top of this page is the date the current text took effect. If we change something that matters, a note saying so will sit at the top of this page for thirty days. Small corrections just get a new date.
